Merlindie Fardone is a mother of two, working professional and local council elected member with 18 years’ experience in local government serving the community.
Merlindie has worked closely with residents, community groups, sporting clubs, and local businesses, giving her a strong, practical understanding of local issues, including cost-of-living pressures, community safety and access to essential health services.
As a local council elected member, Merlindie understands local government and how it should work for the people it serves and is keen to champion those issues in State Parliament.
With experience as a small business owner, she knows firsthand the impact of rising costs and excessive red tape on local businesses. Merlindie understands that supporting strong local businesses means thriving communities, more local jobs and a stronger economy.
Passionate about coastal care, including sand management and erosion, Merlindie is committed to protecting our beaches for future generations.
