Rhees is not a career politician, but a husband, a father, and a servant to his community.
He knows firsthand the pressures families face today, such as inflation, cost of living, low wage growth and housing supply. This is because he too is directly affected, as well as the people he serves in the community both at work and through his church.
He understands what an overloaded health care system looks like, because he is there amongst it most days of the week. At our Hospitals, our clinics, our GP’s and even our nursing homes.
He knows the cost of living crisis isn’t only effecting young families. It’s effecting the single person, the older couple who might be on a pension, those who are renting as costs get passed on to them. That fear and uncertainty has spread across all seasons of life and demographics.
Rhees is deeply active in the community, listening to people who are struggling with rising costs, inflation squeezing household budgets, and the growing anxiety about the future. He knows the cost-of-living crisis isn’t abstract and families are genuinely fearing if their children are going to be able to afford a home of their own.
He believes all South Australian residents deserve relief.
These issues are not talking points for Rhees. They are priorities. He believes families deserve relief, people deserve support, and communities deserve leadership rooted in real experience.
That is why Rhees is stepping forward — to serve, to listen, and to get to work.
