What we are proposing...
South Australians are doing it tough right now. Bills are climbing, fuel is expensive, and the cost-of-living crunch is having a real impact on families.
We will provide immediate cost of living relief to thousands of South Australians by reducing regular Adelaide Metro fares to 50 cents.
Student 28-day passes will remain at $10 and South Australian Seniors Card members can still travel for free on Adelaide Metro buses, trains and trams – all day, every day.
This will provide South Australian families real and practical savings. A family of two parents and two students could save up to $100 a week for daily travel.
Our plan will increase the usage of our transport network, a downturn in fare evasion, less traffic, and help the environment.
This is part of our plan for a more affordable South Australia.
