For the entire month of April, Flu shots will be free for any South Australian who wants one - if a Hurn Liberal Government is elected.
South Australia is suffering through the worst start to a year for flu cases on record, with 904 cases in January alone, compared with 613 last year and just two in 2022.
We need to do everything we can to ease pressure on our health system, and need every line of defence up and running as we battle record ramping.
Currently, South Australia doesn't offer free flu shots, unlike several other states and territories who offer free vaccination programs.
Under our plan, any South Australian can get a free flu vaccination, not just at-risk groups which are funded through the National Immunization Program.
Not only will this move help keep South Australians healthier, it will also save a family of four $100.
This is part of our plan for a better health system.
