Getting the Important Things Right for Mount Barker

Mount Barker is one of the fastest growing regional areas in South Australia and we want to make sure that we invest in the infrastructure needed to keep up with this growth.
Labor has botched its planning of Mount Barker from the very start, and roads and congestion are consistently highlighted as one of the biggest issues for the community.
That’s why a Hurn Liberal Government will address long standing issues with road infrastructure as a priority to get the important things right for the Adelaide Hills community.
The State Liberal team’s road infrastructure investment in Mount Barker and the Adelaide Hills includes:
- $20 million for Flaxley Road/Hurling Drive Mount Barker.
- $80 million for Adelaide Road/Hawthorn Road intersection in Mount Barker.
- $1.3 million Keoride expansion in the Adelaide Hills.
- $1 billion Statewide investment in road maintenance.
This funding is critical in ensuring local residents can actually get around Mount Barker and do so safely.
