Small businesses will be given a boost under a new Hurn Liberal Government, with a new $20 million round of the Solar for Business grants program.

Under this Labor Government, South Australians are paying some of the highest prices for electricity on record, with small businesses seeing a 39% rise ($1,425) in their power bills, and are being warned to brace for potential blackouts at peak periods.
Labor have lost control of power in this state and have instead raised the white flag, leaving the fate of power bills to the regulators and hungry power providers.
Labor has dropped their only energy policy from the 2022 State Election, their Hydrogen Plan, after revelations of cost and timeline blowouts – but not until after committing and spending nearly $500 million and 3 years of effort.
Our program will allow eligible small businesses and not-for-profits to apply for grants of up to $50,000 to install solar panels and battery systems, helping to manage energy costs and improve long-term sustainability.
This is a sharp re-focus of the current Powering Business Grant Scheme to direct this vital funding to ensure businesses can install solar panels and batteries, putting the power back in their hands.
We will prioritise affordable and reliable electricity over a narrow-minded obsession with reducing emissions at all costs.
